Disneyland Paris with Leo, Ellie & Lesley

  Disneyland Paris

The view doesn't get much better than this! The Sleeping Beauty Castle really is spectacular standing, a truly iconic sight.

To start the day, we watched an incredible parade which had lots of Disney Stars on colourful floats passing the crowds! There was music and dancing, and all of the characters were waving as they went by - Mary Poppins came right up to us and waved! We loved watching each float come around the corner, trying to guess which famous character would be next! We saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, Pinocchio, animals from The Lion King, Peter Pan, Finding Nemo and all of the Princesses!

It was then time to meet… Mickey Mouse! We entered a theatre, where we met the cheeky mouse. He greeted us with a huge hug and we all couldn't stop smiling! Mickey was very welcoming, shaking all of our hands and we had lots of photos, he even signed our autograph books. We didn't want to say goodbye! However, we knew we would be meeting more of his friends later in the day!

With so many great rides for us to try we waisted no time ticking them off our list. The Slinky Dog ride was a firm favourite and we loved flying high on the Space Orbiter. Some of us fancied flying high into the sky, going on Toy Soldier Parachute Drop where we got to become part of the little green regiment with the toy soldiers from Toy Story!

We decided it would be a good idea to try as a group to go through Alice’s Curious Labyrinth, a maze which had all of the characters from Alice in Wonderland hiding behind every corner! We laughed as we made our way through the paths, trying to avoid getting splashed by water! We found the Cheshire Cat and enjoyed taking some photos!

There were more amazing characters to meet and we were delighted when the signed our autograph books! What a great memento!

The sky had turned dark and finally what we had been waiting for was about to start - fireworks! We had a brilliant view of the castle and waited patiently, first enjoying an incredible drone show - Disney Electrical Sky Parade! It was incredible to see the drones draw different scenes from Disney movies and a few spooky surprises! Then it was time for Disney Illuminations, an extravaganza of music, dazzling fireworks and projections of our favourite Disney characters on the Sleeping Beauty Castle! We couldn't help but dance and sing along to our favourite tunes and we looked in awe at all of the colours in the sky! It was a truly magnificent
