Potters Leisure Resort with Russell, Netty & Barbara

 Potters Leisure Resort

We had arrived at the fabulous Potters Leisure Resort and it had been decorated in Christmas decorations which made us feel very festive indeed.

It was down to the archery shed where everyone practised with bows and arrows, and we all surprised ourselves by hitting the target …. with Luke even scoring three bullseyes! Everyone received a medal and we all proudly wore them around our necks.

Rifle shooting was next on the agenda, and we had such fun at this activity with our new friends. Our expert instructors carefully showed us how to load the rifle, how to position ourselves, take aim and fire. We were all so thrilled when we looked at our scores.

Every evening we were treated to fabulous live shows. ‘Night of Variety’ show as one of our favourite - a sensational variety performance covering everything from musicals to Motown. It was a magnificent show of laughs, music and stories. We sang our hearts out throughout and loved every minute.

It was time to get creative down in the arts and crafts room where we painted terracotta plant pots. We all were very proud of our masterpieces.

It was off to the Norfolk Broads where we boarded our very own river cruiser. The sun shone down on us as we tucked into our picnic lunch. The scenery was spectacular, and we felt lucky to be sharing it with each other. What a calm and peaceful afternoon.

Wow! What a fun experience it was getting to ride round the windy paths on the Segway's!

We travelled to the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth to enjoy a little more competition by playing ten pin bowling. Everyone tried their hardest and showed great sportsmanship in cheering on their fellow team members. An enjoyable time was had by all.

There were several  games of darts and snooker which was good-natured, competitive but very enjoyable.

We loved making a splash in the onsite pool. Catherine and Luke competed to see who could swim the most lengths whilst Stephen loved floating and Nicola preferred swimming in circles. Everyone enjoyed it so much.
