Turkey & Tinsel
There were so many fun activities for us to join in with. One of our favourites being Christmas Clangers where we had to ring a different pitched handbell and follow music. After a few practices we had a recognisable rendition of Jingle Bells.
The line dancing class was brilliant. We kicked our heels together and do-si-do around our partners in style! It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
A carol concert, which was simply beautiful put us in the festive mood. We joined in, singing at the top of our voice.
Our Christmas meal was a real treat! The celebrations started as soon as we pulled our crackers and made each other laugh with the silly cracker jokes. With Turkey and all the trimmings, it really was a feast! We made sure we left enough room for pudding.
The live shows never disappointed and in true JollyDays style we were the first and last on the dance floor. We showed off our groovy moves, loving every second.
It was off to the bowling alley for a few friendly games. With high scores and a few strikes, it was a fierce competition.
It was off to the shooting range where we had a go at riffle shooting. After a few goes, we had soon got the hang of it with most of us hitting the targets! Well done everyone!
We tried our hand at indoor bowls and we were pleased with our sterling effort.
We put on our glad rags, for our New Year’s Eve party! It started with a four-course festive dinner with party poppers popping off all around us and a great, party atmosphere. The entertainment team put on another amazing performance celebrating three decades of Great British music beginning with the Beatles and ending with the classic sounds of Oasis. The excitement grew as the countdown to New Year began. 5,4,3,2,1 Happy New Year! We clapped and cheered and then joined hands as the band started to play Auld Lang Syne! It was a night to remember!
