Warners- Alvaston Hall
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We were delighted to have a surprise visit from Santa and his reindeer one morning. We chatted away to him making sure he knew exactly what was on out Christmas list!
We couldn't wait to pull our Christmas crackers and put on our silly hats as we tucked into our traditional Christmas dinner. We were definitely in the festive mood.
We spent the morning at the Nantwich Museum. We explored the Roman salt making and learnt about the Great Fire in Tudor times and the battle of Nantwich during the English Civil War. It was packed with fascinating displays and artefacts. We all bought some souvenirs to take home as a reminder of our visit.
There was a real party atmosphere as we celebrated the ‘New Year’ in, in style! The band announced the countdown to 12, midnight. We joined in……. 3,2,1 and as the clocked chimed, balloons fell from the ceiling, party poppers were pulled, and we joined hands to sing Auld Lang Syne. The celebrations continued as we did the conga all around the dance floor with the rest of the hotel guest.
