Potters Leisure Resort with Midi & Claire

Potters Leisure Resort

Everyone was feeling very energetic so we opted to experience the Merengue Dance class. We soon picked up the routine and impressed the other guests with our moves.

Catching the last of the afternoon sun, we stumbled across live music in the garden and we listened to the sounds of Aaron Bolton and his band. We sang along and hummed the tunes, tapped our feet, boogied on down and Lewis got up on stage too! He impressed them so much that he was invited to sing on stage with the band  'Baggy Trousers' a tribute to Madness later that night.

We couldn't resist a photo opportunity in front of the Potters waterfall.

An outside  stroll around the grounds, sitting, admiring the beautiful sea views was the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

A bit of friendly competition at the bowling alley was on the agenda. Everyone played very well, with lots of encouragement and support from each other. Some excelled during the game and Josh joined the '100 Club' with a winning score of 106.

The evening entertainment never disappointed us with the incredible  variety of live shows every night. We couldn't wait to get up on our feet and dance the night away.

We were just in time for the 'Exciting Science' show and what fun it was.  We watched as vortices were created to make smoke rings and paper flashed and burned, gone in a second disappearing before our very eyes.

Well, what fun! We shimmied and twirled with the best of them, shaking our hips as we joined in the Belly Dancing class.

Off in the JollyDays bus for a trip to Great Yarmouth for an ice cream by the sea and of course, for some souvenir shopping! We relaxed in the glorious sunshine watching the other holiday makers enjoying themselves in this busy seaside town.

Tom, the wonderful instructor from the archery session was once again helping us with our rifle shooting lesson and we certainly benefited from his tips. Josh, proved to be a natural with a whopping score of 43 and won a well-deserved medal.

With a steady hand and our eye focused on the target we tried to hit the bulls-eye. It took a lot of concentration and we certainly got better the more arrows we fired!

A perfect afternoon, finished off playing some games in the arcade, where we fed the 2p machines and won heaps of tickets that were converted into money with which we treated ourselves to some chocolate!

The finale extravaganza of a show ended our week at Potters in style as we got up on our feet and waved our flags along to the lively music.
