Lake District Activity Centre with Ollie & Isobel

  Lake Distrcit Activity Centre
We travelled through Kings Valley to Yordas, a big cave with a river running through. We were taken into the large cavern and switched on our head torches to look around. We were told all about the history and geology of the area. We climbed under and over rocks and jumped into a big pool with a waterfall. Everyone got soaking wet and had great fun!

Everyone took part in the archery practice followed by a 5 round archery competition with 2 teams which was very exciting!

On evening we got very creative and made amazing felted wool art with the help of a tutor. Everyone was very please with their unique piece.

We tackled the rope course which was a real challenge, but everyone did brilliantly.

At the indoor swing everyone got swung 360° round a big room whilst listening to their favourite song, it was really fun! We also went on the zip line and everyone really enjoyed it.

Down to the bike shed we all got kitted up with mountain bikes/trikes and safety gear. Craig the tutor took all of us out on a cycle route through the woods. It was his favourite activity of the week. There were a few bumps and crashes but everyone did really well and had a great laugh.

We had a lovely day paddling down the lake Rydal Water. We found a nice spot where we stopped for a leisurely picnic on the side of the lake.

We had great fun on the wall climbing.  After a basic practice everyone surpassed their own expectations, overcame fears and all had a great experience.
