Lake District Activity Centre with Isobel & Phil

  Lake District Activity Centre

After getting all kitted out with waterproof clothing, boots and safety helmets we headed to Kingsdale where we explored one of the longest caves, known as Yordas. It was an unique experience and once inside we were amazed by the superb waterfall!

During our stay we did so many fun activities including wall climbing, abseiling, high indoor swing and the outdoor zip wire. Everyone did such a good job and confidence grew as the week progressed.

On a lovely sunny day we went canoeing on Lake Windermere. The lake was busy on this beautiful day with a huge range of different boats.  We stopped off for lunch on a small  island before continuing our journey.

What a full packed day we had! We got to experience archery, biking, tube sliding and tackled the rope course which required some good balance.

We headed out to Keswick and visited the Rexel Pencil Museum which is the only museum like it in the World and boasts to have produced the first ever pencil.

We spent some lovely time in the craft department doing clay modelling where some of us used the pottery wheel and others hand crafted theirs. We left them to dry and when ready we painted and decorated them with glitter and small coloured stones.
