Blackpool with Adrian, Pat & Candy

Excited and happy, we all set off on our journey to the brilliant Blackpool.  We arrived at our comfortable and spacious bungalows and made ourselves at home!  We set the holiday off with a bang by having a fantastic dinner in a local pub and finishing the night off with some Jollydays dancing in the club house on site!

Throughout the week we got up to lots of exciting things.  With our Big Ticket, we took a plunge into the medieval past of the Tower Dungeons, learning all about the ancient forms of torture!  We had an amazing experience in the 4D cinema, ducking from seagulls and riding the waves - what fun!  On another morning we enjoyed the Aquarium, seeing hundreds of different species of sea creatures! We all loved the impressively large lobsters reaching out towards the glass with their huge nippers!  We got to hold the star fish and feel their bobbly surface - what a wonderful experience.

We had a cracking visit to Madam Tussauds, making sure to have our pictures taken with the stars!  Some of us couldn't believe how close we were getting to them - they were so lifelike!  We watched in wonder at the Waltzing Waters show, which lit up one not-so-sunny afternoon.  It was magical to watch the water dancing to the music - a truly unique show.  Some of us braved the glass floored sky walk at the top of the Tower - most brave indeed!   We all had a whirl around the delightful Ballroom Tower dance floor, whilst enjoying tiers of cakes and sandwiches in between dances!

We ate some super food during our week away, with Adrian cooking a storm each morning  in 'Adrian's Café!' as everyone called it!  No needs unmet he laid out yoghurts, cereals, croissants, fruit, and of course a full English if it was desired - what a treat each morning!  We did some leisurely strolling along the nature trail, noticing all of the spring flowers coming into bloom.  And of course, we had a game of ten pin bowling, loved by all.  Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful week away!
