Butlins, Fun & Dancing During the week we sang and danced to amazing music! We especially loved the Frankie Valli tribute band, the brilliant "Rat Pack" and the famous Red Coat Party! What fun we had on the dance floor!  At the funfair we tried out so many terrific rides. We especially enjoyed the Noddy train that took us all around Butlins. We had fun at the amusement arcade playing different games.  Some of us manage to win cuddly toys! We enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the sea front in Lynmouth and wandered around the myriad of gift shops where we bought gifts and souvenirs;  we also enjoyed a Devonshire cream tea. The famous Red Coat party was  truly amazing! We had a brilliant time having our pictures taken with them!       We all had a fabulous time at Butlin's and have great memories to take home!

Painting & Drawing in France Dominique, our art tutor was amazing!  We had a great time learning how to paint. Our subjects were a still life of fruit and flowers and everyone did a great  job. Well done all! We visited  the 5th largest equestrian centre in the world where they can cater for up to eight hundred horses at a time. We enjoyed afternoon coffee and ice cream while watching the horses in the arena.   We took a steam train journey through the beautiful French countryside to St Vallerie, a beautiful seaside town on the bay of the Somme. We spent a couple of hours there wandering around the ancient town and shops before heading along the coast to Etaples to visit the war grave cemetery.  We all found it very moving as we wandered amongst the thousands of headstones of the soldiers who fought in the 1st and 2nd World Wars. We then went to the war museum where we spent the afternoon amongst tens of thousands...

A Stroll in the Peak District   We had an exciting journey up to the Peak District and couldn't wait to check in to our luxury Woodland Lodges. We visited the National Tramway Museum. The museum’s tramway runs through the village transporting visitors out into the local countryside and back. This was a fantastic experience! We then drove to Cromford canal and sat by the water’s edge for lunch followed by a lovely walk along the canal path. In Ilam Park we threw wood sticks off St Bertram’s bridge followed by a cream tea in the Italian garden and strolled around the beautiful grounds. That day we also went to Dovedale in the South Peak  area. We walked beside the River Dove through the limestone hill valley reaching the famous stepping stones. It is such a beautiful area! At the Chatsworth Estate we had a lovely time walking across the Park spotting so many different plants and sculptures. We followed th...
