The Wonders of the Isle of Wight with Jon & Marguerite

The Wonders of the Isle of Wight

We visited the Osborne House the palatial holiday home of Queen Victoria and her Husband Prince Albert.

We could look at how the royal children grew up by looking at slides in photo box booths. Osborne House was truly magnificent; it painted a picture of Victoria and Albert’s tastes, each room show casing opulence with art and decor.

Our evenings were filled with a range of fantastic shows which ranged from live bands and tribute act. This was the perfect opportunity for us to show off our brilliant dance moves!

At the Needles, we spent time showing off our artistic skills in the sand shop making our own unique coloured sand souvenirs.  We we watched the fascinating art of blowing glass and saw the craftsmen make a variety of crafted glassware!

Our next place of interest was the Reptilarium which housed snakes, lizards and insects from all around the world. Some of the group put on explorer hats posing for photographs whilst viewing the reptiles!

The model village at Godshill was amazing, which showcases scale models of all the famous landmarks and villages. We particularly liked the miniature railway!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Donkey Sanctuary in Ventnor. Some of the group got up close to feed the Donkeys!
