Butlins with Phil, Adrian & Jeanette

We all met up and had a fantastic sing along in the bus on the way to Butlins!  The girls named the minibus ‘The Disco Bus!’   We met in a truly beautiful pub called ‘The Goose Goes Free’ and chatted about our holiday to come.  We were all in extremely high spirits!  We excitedly unpacked in our lovely rooms and promptly went exploring.  We enjoyed a hearty dinner in the Beachcomber restaurant on site and the food was excellent.
During our week, we saw some very good shows.  We watched a number of tribute bands, including Tom Jones, Tina Turner, Queen and The Blues Brothers.  We all danced our socks off each night and not only did we get pictures with the Red Coats, we got their autographs too!  We were usually the last on the dance floor boogying the night away.
Our days were spent enjoying the amusements that the site has to offer.  Some of us went swimming, played crazy golf and had a go on the water walkers.  We all played an impressive game of ten pin bowling where some brilliant strikes were scored!
We enjoyed a day in beautiful Chichester and looked around the historical cathedral.  We also ambled around the big market, looking at all the unique things you could buy.  We sat outside at lunchtime as the weather was glorious – and we listened to a folk band that was playing right beside us!
On our final day we took a visit to the fun fair and have another game of ten pin bowling before journeying home.  We had a great week at Butlins and everyone said how much they wanted to come back!
