EuroDisney with Paul & Pat

After the ferry journey over the channel and a short drive in France we arrived at our very nice hotel, near to the Disney Park. We found a great Italian restaurant not far away and enjoyed a relaxed evening ahead of our first day in the park!

We awoke to blue sky and sun! After a good breakfast, we set off for the Disney Park. Whilst waiting for our tickets in The Town Hall we were very privileged to be invited into a side room where we met Ariel and everyone was thrilled to receive a kiss. We watched the Parade where all the Disney characters were a great hit. First the carousel, then Small World – as usual everyone ended up singing the song all day! Dumbo, Thunder Mountain and of course the Tea Cups were rides enjoyed by everyone. Then it was on to The Haunted Mansion which caused great hilarity. The highlight for all was the fireworks and laser show at Cinderella’s Castle where there was much oohing and aahing. This was followed by dinner in Disney Village, where the staff were on skates!

Another gorgeous morning greeted us, as we set off for Disney Studios. We all went back in time with the CineMagique theatre show showing clips of the old film stars. The AniMagique attraction showed wonderful clips of Disney movies, and explained the fascinating process of drawing the characters. We watched the Parade where Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh and more passed just by us. We were all excited by the stunt show, where the daredevils dodged flames and smoke amid gunfire and dancing cars! Dinner in the evening was extra special as we celebrated Leah’s birthday. As Leah received her gift card and desert with candles we all sang happy birthday!

After breakfast it was time to pack up and start our journey back to Calais. On the ferry home we had lunch at the lovely silver service Brasserie before arriving at Dover and starting our various journeys home.
