The Magic of EuroDisney with Adrian & Wendy

"Zip-a-dee-do-dah, Zip-a-dee-ay, my oh my what a wonderful day!"
The spirit of Disney was in our bones as we explored Disneyland with joyful excitement!
We met some of our favourite friendly Disney characters, collecting their autographs and posing for photo's!  We dared many fun rides including Peter Pan's flight, Dumbo's flying elephants, the Mad Hatters teacups, Snow White's Forest, It's a Small World, Phantom Manor, the Riverboat trip and Big thunder Mountain!
We watched in delight as the Disney Parade passed right before our eyes.  It was an all singing, all dancing spectacle!
We spent a day at the fabulous Walt Disney Studios where we met even more loveable characters including the brilliant Buzz Lightyear, Ariel, Pluto & Goofy.  We sung along at the mesmerizing Animagique show, spotted some of our best loved movies at Cinemagique and were amazed at the incredible driving in the stunt show. We got to see how they make the action scenes in Blockbuster movies!  We all cheered and whooped!  some of us got a surprise soaking on the Studio tram ride and a few brave ones rode on the exhilarating Rock 'n' Rollercoaster!  We also watched the wonderful Stars in their Cars Parade where we waved and cheered as they all went by!
Well all had a "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" holiday and can't wait to visit again!

Yorkshire Dales with John & Candy

We had a delightful holiday in the glorious Yorkshire Dales.  Our accommodation was a tranquil haven set amongst rolling hills and a lovely winding river.  Our rooms were spacious and homely and we settled in right away.
Our  morning alarm call was the sound of baby lambs bleating across the fields.

Throughout our stay in Yorkshire we visited many beautiful places.  We took a scenic drive through the lush countryside to Burnsall where we had a leisurely walk.  We saw a wonderful brass band and ambled around some stalls at a lively village fete!
We had a delicious lunch in The Woolpack pub (where of course, Emmerdale is filmed!).  It was great to see where all the filming take place - we almost felt like actors ourselves! We then went to Harrogate and sampled some of Betty's finest cake, which was simply scrumptious!

The following morning we set off for "Last of the Summer Wine" country, stopping off first at Jackson Bridge and then the Carding Shed where we looked at some impressive vintage racing cars, motor cycles, bicycles and retro articles.  It was then off to Holmfirth where we lunched at Sid's CafĂ© before taking the fantastic Summer Wine tour!

On another day we visited the Wensleydale cheese factory where we watched the cheese making process which was highly informative and fun to watch!  We watched them making a film about cheese and then we were able to taste some of the delicious cheese ourselves.   We also drove to Pickering station where we caught the North Yorkshire Railway steam train to Goathland, where we explored the famous "Heartbeat" area.  This was followed by a trip to Whitby beach where we did some paddling and played Frisbee!

On our last full day we headed into the beautiful city of York.  We wandered around impressed by its historic beauty.  We then had an exciting visit to the Castle museum where we saw an old Victorian street with very old shops!  Everyone agreed that it was like being zapped back in time!  We had all enjoyed a truly super holiday and everyone said how much they would love to do it all again next year!

Out & About on the Isle of Wight with Phil, Pat & Netty

Our holiday on the beautiful Isle of Wight was simply fantastic.  We took part in lots of great activities including line dancing, quizzes, curling and ten pin bowling!  Team spirits were running high and everyone spurred each other on!
We had a lovely day out to Alum Bay and had a breath taking sight across the open water to see the famous Needles.  We went inside the glass factory and watched an amazing glass blowing demonstration.  The whole process is extremely clever and it was fascinating to watch!

We went to say 'hello' to the donkey's at the Island's donkey sanctuary.  It was lovely to see the donkey's being so well cared for.  We got to stroke them as they were very friendly and felt really soft!

On another morning we took a beautifully scenic drive to Godshill - the prettiest little village which had a fascinating model village which we ambled around leisurely.  It was rather peculiar to see everything scaled down to such a small size!  It was then onto Waltzing Waters which was a wonderful sight as we watched beautiful patterns emerging, dancing to the stunning music.

Our evenings were packed full of fun, watching many lively shows and boogying to our hearts content.  As always, we tended to be the last off the dance floor, strutting our stuff to the songs we knew!  Our week was packed full of laughter, fun, singing and dancing.  A truly super holiday!
