Butlins Fun and Disco with Phil & Pat

With a huge hop, skip and a jump, we all met up bubbling with excitement and set off for our Butlins adventure!

During our holiday we spent some fabulous and fanciful fun at the fair!  We all won some marvellous prizes, achieved by hooking ducks really rather well!   Some cracking coconut-shy shots were taken and we impressed our spectators who clapped and cheered!  Mini golf was a must and we spent time on the course perfecting our holes-in-ones. Well done all for spectacular efforts!

Some of us enjoyed a leisurely swim in the warm pool, whilst other braved the twirling flumes!  We enjoyed several delightful walks along the promenade - the beach was beautiful and offered us expansive views out across the bay.  We mustn't forget to mention the ice-cream or two that we devoured.....

We had a few go's on the penny machines and gathered up our tickets for prizes!  Air hockey was a favourite and the competition got stiff a few times - the team spirit was brilliant!

We were thoroughly entertained throughout the week - we saw The Drifters tribute band, Ray Lewis, Take That and many more!  We danced til our socks came off and impressed everyone with  our fancy moves!  What a 'helluva' holiday we had!

Blackpool with John and Wendy

What a cracker of a week we had at Blackpool!  JollyDays was back once more, taking over the town and taking in the buzzing atmosphere!

We spent time in the amazing Blackpool Tower whirling around the dance floor in style, as well as experiencing a fantastic 4D viewing of a special effect film.  We even got the lift right to the top of the tower and some brave souls stepped out onto the glass bottomed floor and looked all the way down!  We watched a wonderful circus, full of daring acrobats and clever magicians!

We enjoyed some leisurely ambles along the promenade and far stretching pier, looking out over wonderful views of the sea.  We went into Madam Tussauds and loved being so close to the stars and having our pictures taken with them!  We almost felt like celebrities ourselves!  We also visited the Dungeons where we learnt lots of gruesome facts about medieval torture devices - it was scary but a lot of fun! They made us all laugh as they got us involved!

We played a smashing round of crazy golf and some super duper shots were played.  We took a delightful walk along the nature trail where we spotted some local wildlife and strolled amongst the lovely trees.

An excellent morning was spent at the Sea Life Centre where we saw a huge variety of fascinating sea creatures. From sharks and starfish to lobsters and stingrays, we were bowled over at the many different species.
What a great holiday it was, and thanks to all who made it so special!

Potters Leisure Resort with Steve, Adrian, Mags & Michaela

With excitement and anticipation in the air, we set off eagerly to our holiday destination - the beautiful Potters Leisure Resort!  Over the week we watched and danced to many a wonderful show, from The Jersey Boys to a 60's tribute!  Of course, we were last off the dance floor most nights, impressing everyone with our enthusiastic dancing!

We tried our hands at archery, mini golf, line dancing and took part in a few quizzes -  Watch out, team JollyDays about! We spent some glorious time down on the beach, breathing in the invigorating fresh sea air, eating ice creams and flying kites - oh what fun we had!

One morning we went swimming, enjoying the calm atmosphere of the pool. We swam some relaxing lengths and bobbed up and down in the shallow end.  We were utterly relaxed!  We enjoyed some games of table tennis,  darts and snooker - some impressive shots were made.

During our holiday we ate some truly wonderful food, with so much variety to choose from.  Nothing was ever too much to ask for and the staff were so friendly, interacting with our group and making us laugh!

What a wonderful holiday we had enjoyed - everybody said how much they wanted to do it all over again.

Norfolk Broads & Seaside with Phil & Candy

What a cracking holiday to the Norfolk Broads we had!  We spent some fantastic time on our motor cruiser, spotting all of the beautiful local wildlife.  We all got a chance to be the captain of the boat and show off how well could steer the boat! We also got to put up the sails - a fantastic group achievement!  On one occasion we stopped to feed the ducks who were very hungry indeed!

We visited the Magic Kingdom, a brilliant museum with interactive shows, a magician doing lots of impressive tricks, a stage performance by an illusionist and lots of historical memorabilia from various magicians!  We even got to dress up ourselves - what a fantastic trip!  We visited Cromer and had a beautifully sunny walk along the seafront and had some fun in the amusement arcade!

We had a brilliant evening at the greyhound races at Yarmouth Stadium - it was such fun watching the dogs running so fast!  We put our bets on and a big well done to James and Andrew, the evenings winners, and to the girls for their profits!

We spent a morning canoeing, launching onto the broads just 50 yards from our lovely accommodation. We learnt how to reverse the canoes and did some excellent team work!  This was followed by a visit to the Bure Steam Railway - and what a beautiful steam train it was, too.  We had an idyllic countryside journey from Wroxham to Aylesham.  It was like being transported back in time as we chugged leisurely along.

We all had enjoyed a super holiday and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
