Warner's Party Weekend (Lakeside) with Jackie & Isobel

 Warner's Party Weekend

It's Christmas... well almost! With our dancing shoes packed we were ready for our weekend of partying! Santa decided to make a surprise visit and we were thrilled that he wasn't too busy that he couldn't stop to chat! It was such a great moment.

Our active group certainly wasted no time getting stuck into all the activities on offer. The girls were hot shots on the ping- pong table with some excellent rallies. The Shuffleboard tournament saw some great tactical shots and things heated up on the pool table with a nail biting few games.

We couldn't wait to join in with the Christmas Clangers, a bell ringing class for us all to enjoy. After a few practise rings we were ready for our performance. We jingled our way through Jingle Bell Rock, Rock Around the Christmas Tree and Deck the Halls to finish off. What an amazing performance by our Jolly Jinglers, we felt so proud when the other guests cheered and gave us a huge round of applause.

It was then straight down to perfect our line dancing moves. Here we learnt three different dances and after a few wrong steps and turns we finally mastered the routine and at the end performed all three to perfection.

The dining room looked very festive indeed and our table was decorated with some Christmas sparkle and Christmas crackers. Party hats on, we enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

With a great selection of festive songs, we didn’t hesitate to hit the dance floor and dance the night away. We were ready to bring in the New Year and with a count down and streamers the party got started.  We joined in with the entertainment team doing the Conga around the venue then dancing until late in the evening to a fantastic selection of party songs

We took our seats ready for the highly anticipated pantomime. As Jack & The Beanstalk got underway, we joined in with the booing, hissing and its behind you and laughed all the way from start to finish.

With so many great shows and acts Musicals Now was a firm favourite. This fabulous performance had us all singing along to hits from Joseph, Mary Poppins, Oliver and many more. Andy Leach, also impressed us with his act of total comedy combined with crazy magic tricks, gags & mayhem. This hilarious one-man show had us all laughing.

Turkey & Tinsel ( Gunton Hall) with Netty & Oli

 Turkey & Tinsel

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We didn't need and excuse to get into the festive mood but the beautiful decorations and twinkly lights certainly helped!

There were so many great activities for us to join in with from carol singing to ringing hand bells to some iconic Christmas songs!

The evening entertainment was first class with upbeat live shows to hilarious comedy acts. We especially loved the 70's & 80's classics!

You would always find us up and dancing away to the in house band! We certainly know how to party on one of our JollyDays holidays!

It was game on down at the bowling alley where there were some great shots and high scores all round.

We were treated to a sumptuous Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and we were thrilled when the big man himself came to say hello. Luckily he told us that we had all made it o his good list!

As we were right next to the Norfolk Broads we couldn't resist a morning out. We boarded the Nancy Bee, a beautiful boat, for a relaxing cruise along the tranquil waters. With hot chocolate and mince pies in hand, we watched the world go by, spotting herons, cormorants, and plenty of ducks. Some of us even had a go at steering the boat, which was a fun challenge!

Bowling & Pool Competition - Essex with Judy, Midi & Aljona

 Bowling & Pool Competition

Let the games begin! Our action-packed holiday began with so much excitement and anticipation for the upcoming tournament. The pairings were set, and the games began, with each match bringing laughter, encouragement, and cheers from everyone.

We headed to the bowling alley for another round of fun and competition. The energy was electric as Josh scored the first strike of the evening, kicking off a thrilling game.

Sam led the first round with an impressive 108 points, followed closely by Matt with 106 points and Josh in third. After a short break, the second game began, and Alan claimed the spotlight with a spectacular 211 points.

Determination and skill were on full display for the all important final. David and Sam went head-to-head, as did Mark and Alan, creating nail-biting moments.

David emerged victorious, securing his place in the final, while Mark also advanced with a hard-fought win. Certificates and medals were all presented to our worthy group for their super efforts.

We spent some of our holiday pennies in the arcades, playing  air hockey and racing driving games collecting tickets that we could exchange for some great prizes.

The final round of bowling games brought even more excitement, with Philip this time scoring the first strike. The cheers grew louder as he followed it with a second strike, and the competitive spirit was alive and well. The first game ended with Joseph in the lead, but Alan stole the show in the final moments with a fantastic score of 108 points.

The cheers, laughter, and support from the group made every moment special. Sam led the final game with 188 points, but when the scores from all three days were tallied, the overall rankings told the full story.

Alan claimed the top spot as the Grand Champion, earning the coveted trophy with his impressive performance. But the biggest surprise was David, who secured the title of Overall Winner with the highest cumulative score, earning him a second trophy to take home.
