Excitement filled the air as we boarded our flight to sunny Barcelona!  We fell in love with our large spacious rooms at our luxurious hotel and made ourselves at home right away!     Our days at the park were absolutely F A N T A S T I C!   We couldn't wait to try out the huge array of rides, from the Tea Cups to the Rollercoasters! We certainly were a bunch of thrill seekers!       We got drenched on the Water Cannon Ships, which was a highlight for all!  Some brave souls braved The Shambhala - the tallest rollercoaster in Europe.  They said it was the ride of their lives!         A mega well done to those that plucked up the courage to go on the rides and overcame their nerves!     We had a wonderful boat trip in the bright sunshine. Some of us jumped off of the boat into the sparkling sea whilst the others clapped and waved at us!      ...

! BONJOUR TOUT LE MONDE !         That's what we shouted as we arrived into Calais after our beautifully smooth ferry crossing!     Arriving at our luxurious gite in the late afternoon sun, we unpacked in our lovely spacious rooms and we knew that our adventures had truly begun!  Our first evening was kicked off with the first of many traditional French meals - il était délicieux!   We immersed ourselves in the local culture at Campagne Les Boulonnais .  We wandered around the vibrant market, looking at all the tempting goods on offer!    We spent a fantastic afternoon in Montreuil where we joined in with the 70 year celebration of the liberation of the town!  The whole place was buzzing with activity and we saw bands, soldiers, tanks and people dressed in 1940's costume.    We visited Etaples where we walked around the war graves which made a huge impression on us all...

This was a summer holiday at it's best!  We were blessed with huge dollops of glorious sunshine throughout our holiday, enabling us to enjoy beautiful Devon to it's full potential. We enjoyed endless views of natural beauty and visited many picturesque places.  We explored the pretty villages and harbours of Torbay, Dawlish, Postbridge, and Chudleigh Knighton.          We spent a fantastic day at Widdecombe Fayre in the Dartmoor National Park. We ambled amongst friendly animals and were able to stroke them. We loved looking at the stalls and attractions!  On another day we visited the Donkey Sanctuary which everybody adored.     We went to lovely town of Sidmouth where we strolled long the beach and devoured a heavenly cream tea....... (dare we mention the ice-creams!?)     Paignton Zoo was a cracker of a day! We saw giraffes, lions, tigers, gorillas, cheetahs, snakes, monke...
